Design projects of any scale can be stressful for homeowners.  We strive to minimize that anxiety by providing exceptional attention to detail and exemplary professionalism and service throughout each phase of your project. Our devotion to prioritizing client communication allows us to help you curate your thoughts and ideas and realize your design objectives, while also streamlining the process.  To that end, we have fine-tuned a clear, three-step method that we follow for every design project, regardless of scope.  By following this method every single time, we can assure you that your project will get the attention it deserves and that no detail will be left to chance.  In short, we want you to enjoy the design process, knowing that you need not worry over the details.

Step 1:  Concept

The first step in any design project Toran Harper Interiors undertakes is getting to know you, the client.  Thus, during our first contact, whether by phone, email, or in person, we will ask you questions about you, your style, and your lifestyle.  We want to know not only what you like, but also how you live, both on a daily basis and when you entertain. We will also discern the scope and budget of the project you are considering.  Finally, we will get an understanding of your desired timeline to completion.  At the same time, we welcome any questions you may have about us.  The most important aspects of any relationship between designer and client are trust and chemistry.

If you decide that you would like to move forward with us, we will send you a short questionnaire that asks you more specific questions about your goals, and we will schedule a second, in person meeting, ideally in your space.   Based on our first conversation and your questionnaire responses, we will present you with a preliminary mood board that will include things like color palates, flooring and fabric samples, and furniture styles so that we can truly understand your preferences.  This is also an opportunity for you to tell us more about your hopes and dreams for your space.  If you have photos of designs that you love, a fabric that you adore, or anything else that inspires you, this is an excellent opportunity to share it with us.

After the second meeting, we will get to work crafting a design plan for your dream space.  This plan will be presented to you in person, and you will have the opportunity to fine-tune the design however you see fit.  Additional meetings, whether in person or on the phone will be scheduled as needed to finalize the concept.  But we are always available to our clients by email or phone, and we welcome your feedback and questions at any time.   Once we have finalized the scope, concept, and budget for your project, we will work tirelessly to execute your dream design.

Step 2: Selection

During the selection phase we will work with you to select every element to take your design from concept to reality.  Depending on the scope of the project and your budget, this phase may be as simple as holding a single meeting where we present you with suggestions for furnishings and you agree to move forward with an order, or it may be far more involved. We may also recommend tradespeople and artisans to execute certain elements of your design concept.  We will work directly with those tradespeople and artisans to ensure that your design is staying on budget and within your timeline.

Step 3: Installation

The third phase is where your design dreams become reality!  Throughout the process, we will be tracking your orders, setting timetables for deliverables, and generally coordinating everything for a seamless installation. As in the first two phases of your project, you can be confident that we will be standing by you during the installation phase, whether that means being available to take furniture delivery,  being onsite for countertop installation, or ensuring that there are no scheduling issues.  We will personally inspect every single item delivered to ensure it meets our exacting standards for quality and workmanship.  And if, in the very rare instance it does not, we will work tirelessly to make it right.

We thrill at seeing the concept come to fruition, and nothing makes us happier than seeing our clients' joy and satisfaction with the finished product!
